Dominique Hyatt-Oates, a registered nurse by trade, founded CREAM Unity. Dominique is from Racine, WI and moved to Milwaukee in 2015 after completing undergrad at Washington State University “Go Cougs!” She immediately immersed in to the community working at a bilingual physical therapy clinic that predominately served the Hispanic/Latinx population. She then went to graduate school at Marquette University where she became a nurse. Dominique intentionally left bedside nursing to pursue public health to work more directly and intimately with the Milwaukee community. You just might catch her at some point performing home visits to patients throughout the city as she passionately works to decrease health care disparities.
